FAQS:

Statement about independent content restrictions at Aesthetics Events 2023

Aesthetics, including the Aesthetics journal, ACE, CCR, and The Aesthetics Awards, relies on advice from its Clinical Advisory Board and key industry associations regarding clinical matters.

The current advice is that invasive aesthetic treatments like dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, threads, and similar procedures should be performed by qualified medical doctors, dentists, nurses, and prescribing pharmacists. These practitioners must be registered on the GMC/NMC/GPhC /GDC (dentists only) or equivalent international registers.

As a result, the educational independent content sessions related to such treatments, presented at our events such as ACE and CCR, will only be available to these qualified professionals. Visitors should check the individual session on the ACE/CCR agenda to confirm which professionals are permitted entry. Unless stated in the title, sessions in the CCR agenda are likely to be non-sponsored. These sessions are independently created and have no affiliation with any pharmaceutical company.

Sponsored content restrictions at Aesthetics Events 2023

Some sessions at CCR are sponsored (typically with the brand name in the title). Due to the nature of the content, these sessions may only be open to practitioners on certain medical registers. These requirements are put in place by the sponsors or brand hosting the session, and it is completely up to their discretion. Any further questions should be addressed to the session host directly.

Unless stated in the title, sessions in the CCR agenda are likely to be non-sponsored. These sessions are independently created and have no affiliation with any pharmaceutical company.

Session access will be identified on the app within each session and website agenda. For more information, please contact info@ccrlondon.com or alternatively, visit the Conference Help Desk located at the back of the hall.

All content in the Aesthetics Arena and some sessions on the Symposium Stage have access restrictions.

There is still plenty of content open to all attendees. All content in the In Practice Theatre, Innovation Stage and Medical Longevity Summit are open to everyone, as well as certain clinical sessions in other theatres including some on the Symposium Stage.

Your badge type will allow you access to certain sessions. If you do not have your medical register stated on your badge – GMC, NMC, GDC (Dentists), GPhC – and believe you should, please email info@ccrlondon.com or go to the Conference Help Desk for assistance.

Please allow us 48 hours to confirm your registration. You will then receive an email with your registration confirmation.

In case you arrive at CCR with no confirmation email, don’t be alarmed. Make your way to one of our help desks located at the entrance of the venue.

Medical Longevity Summit is a free event taking place at CCR open to all visitors. It is a two-day event educating healthcare practitioners on promoting healthier and longer lives for patients. Through the emphasis of evidence-based holistic care and wellness, this inaugural summit aims to cover functional, integrative, regenerative, lifestyle, and wellness treatments. Along with a dedicated area for brands to showcase solutions, discover the latest innovations in enhancing patient satisfaction and retention, and contributing to a healthier society. Please note there is only 45 spaces available in the conference theatre. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis so we would recommend to arrival 10 minutes before the session starts.

Please note all live demonstrations and documentation of those performing live demos on stands and stage have been pre-approved via the Health and Safety team of the show.

CCR is working in line with the standards set by the Clinical Advisory Board and ACE Group World to ensure a safe clinical environment that has been provided for demonstrations such as dermal fillers and other injectables via the purpose-built live injection rooms that can be found in the Aesthetics Arena. Dermal fillers and other injectables are not permitted to be demonstrated in open spaces on the show floor.

All live injection rooms are in partnership with:

  • Consumables Partner: Wigmore Medical
  • Complications Partner: ACE Group World
  • Sanitisation Partner: Aster International
  • Imaging Partner: Surface Imaging Solutions
  • Clinical Waste Partner: Initial Medical
  • Skin Prep Partner: Hypo21

The responsibility for risk assessment, having a complications protocol in place and an Emergency Complications Kit accessible, lies with the sponsor of the session and the practitioner performing the treatment. However, in the extremely rare event of a complication occurring, the Aesthetics Complications Expert (ACE) Group World will be on-hand if a practitioner is not able to deal with a problem, needs an extra pair of hands or a second opinion. They will also have an ACE Group Emergency kit available on their stand (N90), which will be well stocked with hyaluronidase and adrenaline so if a complication occurs, necessary drugs and consumables will be readily available at Stand N92.
