Internationally recognised with over a decade of NHS Consultant Oculoplastic Surgical and Aesthetic Medicine experience, Miss Rachna Murthy is a leading voice in ocular and aesthetic medicine, she is widely published in aesthetics and surgery, and highly accredited; an expert that has educated many eminent Doctors in the field, both domestically and internationally.She is listed in the Tatler UK cosmetic surgery guide as amongst the top 3 nationally for eyelid surgery and won the Aesthetics Awards 2022 Consultant Surgeon of the Year award.
She enjoys faculty status at numerous international meetings and has been appointed as faculty to the Allergan Medical Institute and is on the editorial board of the PMFA journal.
Miss Murthy has pioneered innovative surgical approaches to periocular skin cancer resulting in reduced patient attendance and cancer recurrence with improved cosmetic outcomes. She is a patient advocate and sits on the board of the Royal Society of Medicine’s Ophthalmology section.
Her publications have won international prizes and are widely quoted. She is an invited author for the Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society. Dr Murthy is amongst a handful of UK surgeons that has been invited to be a full member of the British, European and American Societies of Ophthalmic Plastic, Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery. A strong believer of diversity and team work, she is now in full time private practice in London and Cambridge with co-director, Prof Jonathan Roos at FaceRestoration Ltd
