he British College of Functional Medicine (BCFM) is a professional organisation dedicated to supporting doctors practising, or developing an interest in, Functional Medicine in the UK.

Our mission is to empower doctors to provide personalised, effective and evidence-based care, while advancing the safe and responsible integration of Functional Medicine into healthcare. BCFM brings together a growing professional community of doctors with a shared interest in addressing the underlying factors that influence health and supporting a more personalised approach to patient care.

We provide members with education, professional support, clinical discussion, networking opportunities and access to a community of like-minded medical professionals. A central focus of BCFM is the development and promotion of high standards for Functional Medicine practice in the UK. Our work includes developing professional and clinical standards, supporting appraisal and revalidation pathways, providing educational opportunities and encouraging evidence-based, ethical and safe practice. We also work to strengthen the professional identity and recognition of Functional Medicine through collaboration with educational organisations, professional bodies, clinicians and other stakeholders across the healthcare sector. Through webinars, clinical meetings, events, partnerships and professional resources, BCFM provides opportunities for doctors to develop their knowledge, share experience and connect with colleagues working across Functional and personalised medicine.
