Dr Sharon Belmo is a London based consultant dermatologist with specialist interests in skin of colour and hair loss. She has a particular interest in Afro-textured hair and has undergone ethnic skin and hair fellowships in both Paris and the US.  Dr Belmo is the co-founder and clinical lead of the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology Skin of Colour Resource, in which she launched in 2016.  Dr Belmo has also written the first dermatology for skin of colour syllabus for UK dermatology specialist training, setting a precedence for future dermatologists’ experience and training in darker skin tones. She continues to be a passionate advocate for diversity in medicine.
